Campfire Witnessing

I went on a youth group float trip at the beginning of my senior year. I thought it would be great because I had never been on one before. So we went down the first night and had a great time. All day Saturday we canoed, and got back late Saturday afternoon to our campsite. We had campfire later that afternoon and we had just begun. We started with the silly songs, of course, one being the "Birdy Song". As we sang it some people from a nearby camp came over to hear us sing. They were not of a church organization, so one of them was slightly intoxicated. They were nice and eventually a few of them joined in the songs. As the campfire became more serious, our new friends were deeply affected by the songs we sang. We witnessed to them that night just by doing something we enjoyed doing. None of us were really thinking we would be able to witness to anyone but the Lord gave us the opportunity. We truly felt that night that we were "in" the world, and not "of" it. There was loud music and parties going on all around us, yet we felt the Lord's spirit and were instruments in bringing it to those ladies that joined us.
